Since the consumers of utility services pay consumption charges regularly, there appears to be no justification for imposing fixed charges of Rs1000 per month by K-electric and variable monthly fixed charges by the SSGC. The concerned ministries, Nepra and Ogra, are requested to kindly look into the matter on a priority basis and ask KE & SSGC to immediately stop charging fixed charges.
