QUETTA: The 18-inch-diameter gas pipeline damaged in a sabotage incident near the Quetta Bypass on Wednesday has been successfully repaired ahead of schedule, according to Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC).
The pipeline damage had disrupted gas supply to parts of Quetta and upper Balochistan, causing inconvenience to residents. Despite harsh weather conditions, SSGC’s technical teams worked tirelessly since early Thursday to restore the supply two hours earlier than planned.
Gas services have now been restored to the affected areas, much to the relief of the residents.
SSGC management closely supervised the restoration process and expressed gratitude to customers for their patience during the disruption. “We regret the inconvenience caused by this unfortunate incident and appreciate the cooperation of our customers,” the company’s statement said.
