Islamabad:The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is racing against time to complete development works in different residential sectors and hand over possession of plots to allottees.
At present, the development body is mainly focusing on completion of development work in sector C-14 which the civic body claims that having lucrative location would be the best residential sector in Islamabad.
The authority had already launched sector C-14 for the overseas Pakistanis fixing a price of Rs60 million for 500 square yards plot. The whole payment from receipt of intimation letter, the successful applicant after the balloting, would pay in four instalments in 10 months’ time.
Till now, the 85 per cent work on road infrastructure and 35 percent work on sewerage and drainage work had been completed. However, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) is still facing problems with regard to affectees for securing possession of land in sector C-15 and C-16.
Meanwhile, the development work in sector I-12 is going on 78 percent progress on the civil work had been made. CDA chairman, meanwhile, received a detailed briefing on the development of new sectors. He emphasised the directives of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, stressing the need for the swift completion of development work and timely handover of possession to allottees. He directed that the pace of development work in all new sectors must be accelerated to ensure timely completion and possession. Regarding Sector C-14, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa instructed that development activities be expedited and possession must be handed over before the payment of the final instalment. CDA chairman also reviewed progress on sectors C-15 and C-16 and directed that all hurdles in their development be removed on a priority basis.
He stressed the need for addressing legal aspects and resolving Built-Up Property (BUP) issues without delay. In relation to Sector I-12, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed to initiate the process of handing over possession to allottees at the earliest. The progress of Sector E-12 was also evaluated during the meeting. CDA chairman was informed that substantial development work has been completed in Sub-sectors E-12/2 and E-12/1.
The CDA chairman also instructed the swift resolution of issues related to Sectors C-13, D-13, E-13, and F-13, urging the Engineering and Estate Wings to remove all obstacles hindering the development of these sectors.
