Provincial minister inspects development projects
Rawalpindi: Provincial Minister for Works and Communications Punjab Malik Sohaib Ahmed Barth visited different areas of Rawalpindi and inspected the ongoing development projects.
The local administration briefed the minister about the progress on the projects. The minister reviewed the progress on the development projects of Government Girls High School, Dheri Hassanabad, Khawaja Corporation Chowk Flyover, Adiala Road and Ring Road.
The minister said that funds have been approved for the new building of the school in Dheri Hassanabad. The 3-storey school building will cost Rs232.2 million. He directed to complete the school building on time and said that work has been started on Khawaja Corporation Chowk Flyover and this project will be completed by June next year.
The completion of the project will help in traffic flow. He said that work is progressing rapidly on the 10.9-kilometer road from Khawaja Corporation to Gorakhpur village and Rs1,626 million will be spent on the project. He directed that the use of high-quality materials should be ensured on all projects and the officers of the C&W Department should monitor them strictly. They said that timely completion of the projects will bring convenience to the people soon.
