CM Gandapur, Atif meeting soon: Shahram

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Member National Assembly Shahram Tarakai said on Thursday that contacts had been made to resolve the differences between Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Atif Khan.

“Atif Khan will meet the chief minister after recovering from his health issues. There are no differences within the PTI, as we all consider ourselves the soldiers of the founding chairman Imran Khan,” he told reporters after appearing in the Peshawar High Court.

Shahram Tarakai said that he had played a role in resolving the differences between Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Atif Khan. He added that the chief minister showed greatness and magnanimity by reaching out to Atif Khan, who will soon visit the Chief Minister’s House.

He expressed regret over the state of law and constitution in the country, saying there was no respect for legal and constitutional norms. He criticized the imposition of terrorism charges on members of the assembly but maintained that their morale remained high.

He reiterated their commitment to the supremacy of the constitution and law.Shahram Tarakai claimed that the international community was making mockery of the government of Pakistan for overstepping the law and constitution.

About the PTI-government negotiations, he questioned the seriousness of the government in this regard. He noted that people’s eyes were on the negotiation committee.He welcomed any country, including the United States, that advocated for human rights. He urged the judiciary to take suo motu action on all matters and called on all institutions to operate within their constitutional domains.
