MANSEHRA: District Police Officer Shafiullah Khan Gandapur on Thursday said that due to the effective role played by the dispute resolution councils over 10,000 cases were settled out of courts alone in the district.
“Your services rendered voluntarily for settling disputes are highly encouraging, and need to be replicated in other spheres of life for a peaceful society,” he told the members of the dispute resolution committee here.
Gandapur, who visited DRC headquarters and met with its members, said that litigants enjoyed the free-of-cost dispensation in their monitory, land and marriage disputes.“These statutory bodies working throughout the district settled 10,000 cases, shifting the huge burden from the subordinate courts,” he said.
