Protesters call off sit-in

SWABI: The Swabi Action Committee on Wednesday sit-in was called off the sit-in after the officials of the district administration assured that the duration of loadshedding would be reduced in the district.
The Swabi Action Committee’s members had started the sit-in on Monday seeking provision of electricity at concession price, eradication of drugs, restoration of Gadoon Amazai Industrial Estate’s status. The officials of the administration held talks with the protesters and urged them that Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) would reduce the loadshedding duration gradually.Maulana Mohammad Tayyab, a leading religious figure, also participated in the concluding session.
