Airport body discusses security measures

Meeting focuses on enhancing security and ensuring safety and convenience of passengers and staff

LAHORE: An Airport Security Committee meeting was held at the Allama Iqbal International Airport on Monday under the chairmanship of the chief operating officer/airport manager.

The meeting focused on enhancing security measures at the airport and ensuring the safety and convenience of passengers, staff, and stakeholders. Key representatives from relevant departments and agencies including the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) and other airport operators attended the meeting.

A comprehensive review of current security protocols was conducted and measures to address any emerging challenges were discussed. Special emphasis was placed on improving coordination among all stakeholders, strengthening surveillance systems, and ensuring compliance with international aviation security standards.

The COO/APM commended the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders and stressed the importance of vigilance and preparedness to maintain a secure and efficient airport environment. He reiterated the airport’s commitment to providing a seamless experience for travelers while adhering to the highest security standards.

The meeting concluded with actionable plans to enhance operational efficiency and safeguard the interests of passengers and airport staff alike.
