ISLAMABAD: Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of Islamabad High Court (IHC) has remarked that Missing Persons Commission neither works nor let to do work but it is only deceiving.

He gave these remarks during hearing of case pertaining to recovery of missing person Mudassar Khan from Azad Kashmir Tuesday. The court ordered DG MI to file sealed envelope report.

Counsel Imaan Zainab Mazari appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioner Nazma Fatehyab. Assistant Attorney General (AAG) and representative of Ministry of Defence appeared in the court.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani remarked what is use of this commission which does not work. Shut this commission at least. Had that commission worked then why this petitioner would have come here in high court.

AAG said husband of the petitioner has gone missing from Muzaffarabad. FIR is lodged therein.

The court inquired are army, ISI and MI of Muzaffarabad separate or the same one.

Imaan Mazari advocate said this case had been pending in Missing Persons Commission since August. On November 18, telephonic call of her husband came to petitioner from a number that he is in the custody of agency.

In Ahmad Farhad case it was said in telephonic call that if case is withdrawn from high court then husband will return to home within a few days.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani remarked if call has come then it is good thing that he is alive and safe. I want to hear. The officers should come and give in-camera briefing then we will see. The court adjourned the hearing of the case till December 27.
