Performance of Rawalpindi Division reviewed in detail on KPIs

Rawalpindi : Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Engineer Aamir Khattak while reviewing the performance of Rawalpindi Division in detail on the KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) given by the Chief Minister of Punjab, said that hundred per cent implementation should be ensured.

He directed that the contractors should be mobilised immediately under ‘Suthra Punjab programme’ and the problems of human resource and machinery should be resolved immediately.

Assistant commissioners will give certificate that solid waste staff and contractors have been mobilised in their tehsil and will also ensure the presence of dumping sites in every tehsil.

Engineer Aamir Khattak said that under the ‘Suthra Punjab programme’, the responsibility of making the entire division zero waste lies on the assistant commissioners, in which no deficiency or negligence will be tolerated.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Hasan Tariq, Director General PHA Ahmed Hasan Ranjha, CO Rawalpindi Waste Management Company Rana Sajid Safdar and other concerned officers attended this review meeting of Divisional Coordination Committee in person whereas Deputy Commissioner Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal and Murree participated via video link.

Commissioner Rawalpindi gave the target of immediate repair of dilapidated bridges in the districts and directed for patch work and repair of roads. He directed that consultants should be hired to ensure progress and quality of work on development schemes at the district level.

Commissioner Rawalpindi said that after January 2025, ACRs will be made online to optimise the performance of officers. Along with taking effective measures for anti-encroachment and price control, zebra-crossing should be ensured for children in front of public and private schools. He said that special attention should be given to the beautification of the densely populated areas of all the districts. To ensure the prohibition of scattered ‘Rehrhi’ bazaars, single-line carriage bazaars to established and carts should not be seen at any place other than the approved design and place.
