Motorway Police get new IG

Current IG NHMP Salman Chaudhry has been transferred and directed to report to Establishment Division

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced the transfer and posting of Additional Secretary Home Division Rifat Mukhtar as Inspector General National Highways and Motorway Police, here on Monday.

Mukhtar is a Grade 21 officer of the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP). The current IG National Highways and Motorway Police Salman Chaudhry has been transferred and directed to report to the Establishment Division. Chaudhry is also a Grade 21 PSP officer.

The federal government has also appointed Sadiq Iftikhar as Chairman of the National Commission for Human Development. The National Commission for Human Development is a subsidiary of the Ministry of Federal Education. Similarly, Deputy Director Pakistan National Council of the Arts Muhammad Arif has also been transferred and posted as Section Officer State and Border Affairs Division, while Section Officer Muhammad Imtiaz Azam’s transfer from the Petroleum Division to the Overseas Pakistanis Division has been cancelled.

Deputy Director IB Dr Muhammad Bilal Sarvia, who was at the disposal of the Punjab government, has been transferred and posted as Manager Utility Stores Corporation on deputation. Veterinary Officer, Livestock Department, Gilgit-Baltistan Government Amara Qadir has been transferred and posted as Scientific Officer, National Veterinary Laboratory, Islamabad on deputation. The Establishment Division has issued official notifications of all orders.
