LAHORE: The eleven individuals convicted by military courts in the May 9 riots have been shifted to Kot Lakhpat Jail, Lahore after conclusion of their trials.
All these individuals have been sentenced under Section 3 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923. According to the documents obtained by “Jang”, the accused transferred in Kot Lakhpat Jail are Muhammad Imran Mehboob son of Mehboob Ahmed, age 49, resident of Race Course Road Rawalpindi (10 years rigorous imprisonment), Ali Shan son of Noor Muhammad, age 29, resident of Wapda Town Lahore (10 years rigorous imprisonment ), Jan Muhammad son of Toor Khan, age 32, resident of Nabipora Badami Bagh Lahore (10 years rigorous imprisonment ), Ziaur Rehman son of Azam Khurshid, age 20, resident of Gulshan Ravi Lahore (10 years rigorous imprisonment ), Ali Iftikhar son of Iftikhar Ahmed, age 20, resident of Ghazi Road Lahore (10 years rigorous imprisonment ), Abdul Hadi son of Abdul Qayyum, age 27, resident of Park Lane Islamabad (10 years rigorous imprisonment ), Dawood Khan son of Shad Khan, age 39, resident of Halki Banda Tehsil and District Nowshera, KP. (10 years rigorous imprisonment ), Faheem Haider son of Farooq Haider, age 24, resident of Falcon Line, Walton Road, Lahore (6 years rigorous imprisonment ), Muhammad Hasher son of Tariq Bashir, age 31, resident of Abid Road, Walton, Lahore (6 years rigorous imprisonment), Muhammad Ashiq Khan son of Naseeb Khan, age 43, resident of Chungi Amar Sidhu (4 years rigorous imprisonment ) and Muhammad Bilawal son of Manzoor Hussain, age 30, resident of Wahdat Road, Lahore (2 years rigorous imprisonment ).
