ISLAMABAD: Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Tahir Abbas Supra has granted interim bail to PTI leader Mashal Yousafzai in eight cases registered against her for participating in the PTI’s protest at D-Chowk.
The court’s decision prevents the police from arresting her. During Monday’s hearing, Mashal Yousafzai appeared in court with her legal team, including Amina Ali, and filed pre-arrest bail applications for the eight cases. The court granted her interim bail against surety bonds of Rs5,500 for each case, directed the police to present relevant records, and adjourned the hearing until January 17.
The cases against Mashal Yousafzai have been registered at various police stations, including Secretariat, Karachi Company, Aabpara, Tarnol, Margalla, Ramna, and two at Kohsar Police Station.
In a separate case, the same court granted interim bail to PTI leader Shibli Faraz in connection with cases related to the D-Chowk protest and barred the police from arresting him. In five cases, Shibli Faraz appeared in court during the hearing and filed interim bail applications. The court approved his bail against surety bonds of Rs5,500 per case and adjourned the hearing to January 17. The cases against Shibli Faraz have been registered at Margalla, Tarnol, Aabpara, and Kohsar police stations.
