ISLAMABAD: Rear Admiral Jawad Ahmad has assumed his responsibilities as Commander Central Punjab (COMCEP).
The outgoing COMCEP, Rear Admiral Azhar handed over the command to the new Commander at a ceremony held at Naval Complex, Lahore. All the commanders of Pakistan Navy’s units and installations from Bahawalpur to Wazirabad and Commandant Pakistan Navy War College fall under command of COMCEP. Rear Admiral Jawad Ahmed joined Pakistan Navy’s operations branch in 1992. He has vast experience of serving on command and staff posts.
He served as PS to Vice Chief of Naval Staff, Directing Staff at Pakistan Navy War College, Defence Attache in Malaysia, Commander Surface Task Force, Commander West in Gwadar, Commandant Pakistan Naval Academy and Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Training). He was also conferred with Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) in recognition of his services.
