Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani has called on all relevant authorities to expedite efforts for the early completion of the K-IV bulk water supply project, which is expected to address Karachi's growing water demands.

He made the remarks on Monday while presiding over a key meeting focused on the Karachi Water and Sewerage Improvement Project (KWSIP). The meeting extensively discussed ways to enhance the ongoing projects and related matters.

Ghani emphasised that the K-IV project is crucial for improving the city's water supply system. He reiterated the Sindh government's commitment to ensuring the swift completion of the project, which he believed will significantly alleviate the bulk water supply challenges faced by Karachiites.

"The K-IV project will go a long way in fulfilling the water needs of Karachi’s residents," said Ghani, highlighting the importance of meeting the city's increasing demand for clean water. The meeting was attended by several key officials, including Syed Khalid Hyder Shah, Additional Chief Secretary of the Local Government Department; Usman Moazzam, Project Director of KWSIP; Salahuddin, CEO of Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation (KWSC); and Asadullah Khan, KWSC Chief Operating Officer.
