CTP issues traffic plan for Christmas, Quaid’s Day celebrations

Rawalpindi: City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi has issued a traffic plan for Christmas and Quaid-e-Azam celebrations to ensure traffic flow and public safety on this occasion. Keeping in mind the importance of these celebrations for the Christian community and the entire nation, CTP has made special arrangements for the convenience of all citizens.

During Christmas and Quaid-e-Azam celebrations, 139 officers and personnel, including four DSPs, have been deployed for midnight duty and anti-one-wheeling on December 24 and 25, while 297 traffic police personnel will perform duties during the day.

These include 12 Circle Officers, 52 senior traffic wardens, 168 traffic wardens, and 65 traffic assistants, who were given special instructions regarding duty by Chief Traffic Officer Benish Fatima.

More than 50 personnel have been posted on special duty at churches, parks, and other important places to keep the participants of the events safe from traffic problems. The deployed personnel will be present at all times to maintain traffic flow, guide pedestrians, and provide assistance in any emergency situation. The CTP appeals to the public to obey traffic rules, cooperate with the traffic police, and follow their instructions. Motorists are advised to plan their routes in advance and avoid parking within 100 meters of any venue. Pedestrians are requested to use designated crosswalks and obey traffic signals for their safety.

This traffic plan will be fully implemented on December 25, CTP is committed to the convenience and safety of citizens. This plan has been prepared to ensure traffic flow and make events safe and orderly through proactive planning and public cooperation.
