LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially selected the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the neutral venue for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, including the much-anticipated Pakistan-India encounter.
The decision was confirmed by PCB spokesperson Amir Mir, who stated that the PCB has formally informed the International Cricket Council (ICC) about the venue selection. The PCB clarified that the final decision on the neutral venue rested with Pakistan as the host nation. After careful deliberation, the PCB opted for the UAE, ensuring a suitable and neutral location for all participating teams.
The decision followed a meeting between PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and Emirates Cricket Board Chairman Sheikh Al Nahyan, who is currently visiting Pakistan. The Pakistan-India clash, one of the most anticipated matches of the Champions Trophy, will now be held in the UAE.
