KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that it will remain closed on Wednesday, December 25 in observance of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.
In its statement released on Monday, the bank said: “the [SBP] will remain closed on December 25 (Wednesday) … on the occasions of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas, as declared by the government of Pakistan.”
All banks, microfinance banks, and development finance institutions will remain closed in observance of the public holiday. Normal banking operations will resume on Thursday, December 26.
