PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Food Zahir Shah Toru on Sunday said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would challenge the military court verdicts, saying the judgements were unacceptable to them.

Speaking to Geo News, he said that the military court decisions were not acceptable to them and said these would be challenged to secure the release of the accused. “Our workers should not lose hope. We will ensure their release,” he said.

Referring to the aftermath of the May 9 incidents, Zahir Shah alleged that the PTI was deliberately targeted on the pretext of May 9 events.

He praised the resilience of PTI workers and said that despite enduring oppression and hardship, they had remained steadfast and loyal to the party founder.

The minister said that the PTI stood united and would continue striving to achieve true independence.

Zahir Shah reiterated the party’s resolve to fight against injustice and urged the people to continue supporting for PTI to boost democracy.
