A 26-year-old electrician, who was the father of two children, was strangled to death in Sohrab Goth's Jamali Goth area on Sunday.
Unidentified assailants entered a house in Street No 5 of Jamali Goth and strangled Shahid Ali, son of Muhammad Qasim. Upon receiving the information, police and rescue teams reached the location and transported the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
SHO Wazir Sammu said the victim’s wife informed Ali's brother early in the morning about the incident. The brother then reached the house and informed the police about the murder. According to the wife, she woke up in the morning to find her husband strangled to death.
Police said the victim’s wife appeared suspicious and they had included her in the investigations. They added that the post-mortem report would reveal more facts. After completing the legal formalities, police handed over the body to the victim’s brother.
