APC decisions: Governor forms 2 bodies to address issues in KP

PESHAWAR: In the wake of the decision of the All Parties Conference (APC), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Sunday announced the formation of two committees to address political and technical issues.These committees will carry out consultation and coordination duties on important matters to promote the province’s prosperity and harmony between political parties.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz provincial head and Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan Amir Muqam, Sikandar Sherpao of Qaumi Watan Party, Maulana Attaur Rehman of Jamiat Ulema-i- Islam-Fazl), Mian Iftikhar Hussain of Awami National Party, Pakistan People’s Party’s Syed Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha, Mohsin Dawar of National Democratic Movement, Prof Muhammad Ibrahim Khan of Jamaat-e-Islami), Tehreek-e-Insaf-P’s Mahmood Khan, ex-chief minister Pervez Khattak and Shaukatullah Khan (representative of merged districts) will be members of the political committee.

This committee will make its recommendations to strengthen communication between political parties and establish consensus on important issues. The 12-member technical committee includes Dr Ibadullah of PMLN, JUIF’s Maulana Lutfur Rahman, Ahmed Karim Kundi of PPP, Inayatullah Khan of JI, Akhunzada Sikander Zaman of QWP, Sangin Khan of ANP, NDM’s Kifayatullah Khan, Malik Habib Noor Orkazai, Ghazan Jamal (merged districts), Akhunzada Chatttan (merged districts), Hamayatullah Khan (expert) and Musharraf Rasool (expert).This committee will provide its services for monitoring development projects in the province and give suggestions on technical issues. This committee will work to consult on important technical issues and promote cooperation among various parties.
