PESHAWAR: Over 1,691 kanals of land in Dera Ismail Khan was retrieved after a major action by the Anti-Corruption Establishment Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Anti-Corruption Establishment had received a complaint of illegal transfer of government land from Kulachi tehsil in DI Khan.
The complainant said the government land was occupied through forged documents in connivance with the revenue staff.
The ACE conducted an inquiry into the matter and the revenue staff was directed to cancel the transfer after the allegations proved correct.
The revenue authorities restored 1691 kanals and 7 marlas of land worth hundreds of millions of rupees to the government.
