LAHORE: ‘Mera Pyara’ team has reunited a missing girl with her parents after she had been missing for 23 days.
A call was received at the Virtual Centre for Child Safety from Johar Town Lahore. The caller reported finding an abandoned 12-year-old girl who identified herself as Momina. The Virtual Centre for Child Safety sent the relevant police to the location and took her into protective custody. The Safe City team launched a social media campaign to locate her relatives. According to the spokesman of Safe Cities, police transferred the girl to Edhi Home. She informed them that she resides in Bahawalnagar and also knows her father's phone number. The Safe City ‘Mera Pyara’ team immediately contacted her father and summoned him to Lahore. The team handed the girl over to her father at Edhi Centre.
