All public schools in Sindh to be solarised, says Nasir
Sindh Energy and Planning & Development Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah on Saturday said that all government schools in the province would be solarised. He made the announcement at the Paigham-e-Pakistan event during the All Sindh Science & Arts Gala at the PAF Museum.
During the programme organised by the Directorate of Private Schools Education Sindh and the All Sindh Private Schools & Colleges Education, Shah said teachers are responsible for educating children about the country’s history and instilling positive values in them.
He said that all public schools in the province would be gradually solarised, adding that every possible help would be provided to solarise private schools so that students can continue their education and take their examinations in a peaceful environment.
In his speech as the chief guest, the minister said today’s message to the builders of the future is stability of the country.
He said that along with the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) government, the vision of President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is for education to be made public, with special attention paid to it.
He added that teachers should inform children that the country’s future is in bright and safe hands. He pointed out that the situation is improving day by day, with new employment opportunities being created.
He also pointed out that investment is increasing rapidly, and that not only domestic but foreign investors are also approaching the government for investment after seeing the good and peaceful conditions.
He remarked that the provincial government is busy taking steps to eliminate electricity load-shedding and over-billing during summers, and it is trying to provide affordable power to consumers.
Shah said that for ensuring peace and stability, and eradicating terrorism in the country, our armed forces, the Rangers and the police are embracing martyrdom every day, with their mothers braving their funerals after they sacrificed their lives for the country and the nation.
At the conclusion of the event, the minister distributed prizes among the children who won the competition, and also gave cash from his own pocket as prizes to the children.
