MWM stages demos against lawlessness in Parachinar

The Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) staged protest demonstrations on Friday in different districts of Sindh, including Karachi, against the prevailing troubled situation in Parachinar in Kurrum Agency.

The protest demonstrations and rallies were held after Friday prayers. The demonstrations in Karachi were held in Orangi Town, Pehalwan Goth, Martin Road, Landhi, Korangi, Malir, and Steel Town areas. Speaking to the protesters, MWM leaders condemned the unending human miseries and casualties in the Parachinar area.

They lamented that severe food and medicine shortages in Parachinar had worsened the situation in the strife-torn area. The MWM leaders informed the protesters that over 10 children had lost their lives due to the continuing siege of the troubled area. They called upon the government to ensure fool-proof security in Parachinar given the highly volatile situation in there.

The MWM leaders demanded the federal and provincial governments take decisive action against the miscreants operating in the area. They urged the president, the prime minister and the army chief to launch an operation against terrorists constantly unleashing terror in the troubled area. They urged the government to immediately overcome food and medicine shortages in Parachinar. Allama Baqir Abbas Zaidi, Mukhtar Imami, Maulana Hayat Abbas, Maulana Nishan Haider, Asif Safwi, Allama Mubashir Hassan and other MWM leaders spoke to the demonstrators.
