First batch of medicines sent to Parachinar, says minister

LAHORE:Provincial Minister for Health and Emergency Services Punjab Khawaja Salman Rafique has said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the first batch of medicines has been sent to Parachinar.

The medicines were arranged under the supervision of Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Khawaja Imran Nazir, while the Emergency Services Department Punjab specially sent an air ambulance.

Khawaja Salman Rafique said that the Punjab government was providing all possible help to the people of Parachinar in this difficult time. Life-saving medicines were being delivered to Parachinar through the air ambulance service.

Patients will also be transferred to Rawalpindi from Parachinar for better treatment through air ambulance. The transfer of patients from Parachinar to other government hospitals was being monitored by the Secretary of the Emergency Services Department of Punjab, Dr Rizwan Naseer.
