Robbers gang busted; two members arrested

LAHORE:Gulberg police apprehended a two-member robbery gang from an urban slum area on Friday. The suspects were identified through CCTV footage. They were known for scouting citizens shopping at Hafeez Centre and other places, later robbing them at gunpoint.

Police seized a motorcycle, five mobile phones, and two pistols from the suspects identified as Shahzaib and Shakeel, who have been involved in over seven robbery and theft incidents in Gulberg.

Meanwhile, Hayer Police arrested eight individuals involved in illegal weapons possession,

show of arms, and aerial firing. The seized items included three automatic rifles, five pistols, magazines, cartridges, and dozens of bullets. The arrested suspects were identified as Ali Hamza, Rafiqat, Salman, and Irshad.

Gujjarpura Police arrested three drug dealers targeting the youth. A total of over 3 kg of cannabis was recovered from the suspects, identified as Hira, Saleem, and Ramzan, who all have prior criminal records.

Toxic liquor vendors detained

Gulshan Ravi Police arrested three suspects, identified as Adeel Masih, Adnan Masih and Kashi Masih, involved in producing and selling toxic homemade liquor. A large quantity of the harmful liquor was confiscated.

Man arrested for abusing child

The Dolphin Squad, responding to a call on the emergency helpline 15, apprehended a predator in Shafiqabad accused of abusing a minor. The suspect, Amanat, lured the child to a deserted area and committed the crime.

Meanwhile, police arrested a suspect, Afzal, who was stealing car batteries from vehicles in Emporium Mall’s parking area. Two stolen batteries were recovered from his possession.

Intoxicated trio detained

Three individuals were arrested in Millat Park and Burki for causing public disturbances while intoxicated. The suspects, identified as Waqar, Shahbaz, and Farooq, were found with liquor bottles in their possession and are believed to be involved in the distribution of alcohol in various areas.
