Three killed in road mishap

TIMERGARA: Three persons lost their lives while two others sustained injuries when a bike and car collided head on at Kithiarai Qila in Adenzai Tehsil of Lower Dir district early on Friday, rescue emergency officials and locals said.

The rescue medical team shifted the injured to the hospital in Chakdara where from one of the injured was rushed to a hospital in Swat for treatment.The deceased were identified as Fahad Khan, resident of Thana district Malakand, Hazrat Umar, resident of Sheringal in Upper Dir district and Azmat son of Sultanat Khan, a resident of Asban in Adenzai tehsil. The injured included Yaseen and Ihsan.

Meanwhile, a man was shot dead at Mayaar Bazaar in Samarbagh tehsil in Lower Dir district while three others sustained injuries during a clash and exchange of fire between two rival groups here, local sources and rescue emergency officials said.

Said Nawab, a resident of Miskini, was shot dead whereas Amir Zaman, Sardar, and Fazal Wahab sustained bullet injuries.The rescue emergency officials shifted the injured to District Headquarters Hospital Timergara for treatment.
