LALAMUSA: The provincial government has issued a formal notification declaring Gujrat a division.

This development marks a milestone in the region’s governance structure, with the Gujrat district undergoing substantial upgrades and new administrative units being introduced.

As per the notification, the district of Gujrat now comprises five tehsils: Gujrat, Kharian, Sarai Alamgir, Jalalpur Jattan, and Kunjah.

Alongside these changes, the Gujrat Division will encompass four districts: Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, and Wazirabad.
