New AJK CS, Sindh Rangers DG named
Establishment Division issued official notification regarding appointment of DG Rangers Sindh MG Muhammad Shamrez
ISLAMABAD: Various postings and transfers were made in the federal bureaucracy on Thursday.
Chief Secretary Government of Azad Kashmir (AJK), a Grade-21 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service, Dawood Muhammad Bareech, was removed from his post and directed to report to the Establishment Division. In his place, Flight Lieutenant (retd) Khushal Khan, a Grade-21 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, was appointed as the new AJK chief secretary. Earlier, he had been serving as additional secretary Power Division.
Ms Nafisa Satti, a Grade-22 officer of the Inland Revenue Service and RTO Rawalpindi, was posted as joint secretary of finance. She has been posted on deputation for three years.
Ms Shazia Adnan, Director General of the Pakistan Institute of Trade and Development, and a Grade-21 officer, was given the additional charge of DG Intellectual Property Organisation (IPO). She was given the charge for three months, or until the appointment of a regular DG, with the approval of the cabinet.
Hussain Haider, a Grade-22 officer of Commerce and Trade Group, was posted as DG Board of Investment on deputation.
Meanwhile, the Establishment Division issued an official notification regarding the appointment of DG Rangers Sindh Major General Muhammad Shamrez. According to the notification, he has been appointed based on secondment as per the prevailing rules and regulations, which became effective immediately and until further notice.
Major General Shamrez assumed the post of DG Rangers Sindh on Nov 8 last month.
Similarly, Fariha Ali Randhawa was posted as Director General of the Pakistan Industrial Technical Assistance Centre, while the services of Inland Revenue Service Grade-19 officer Abdul Rauf were transferred to Balochistan Revenue Authority.
Senior instructor, Pakistan Academy for Rural Development, Peshawar, Asmatullah Shah, was transferred and posted as additional directing staff, National Institute of Public Administration, Peshawar, and assistant accounts officer, Accountant General Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Office, Muhammad Furqan Haleem, was transferred and posted as assistant director (Budget) Elementary and Secondary Education Department.
The deputation of the chief instructor, of the National School of Public Policy, Abdul Khaliq, was extended till December 27, 2024. The Establishment Division has issued notifications of appointments and transfers.
