Rangers and Customs Enforcement, in collaboration with a sensitive intelligence agency, seized non-custom paid goods worth millions of rupees during a joint operation on Thursday.
According to a spokesperson for the Rangers, the operation was conducted following a tip-off, leading to the recovery of a large quantity of smuggled goods. The items, which included powdered milk, biscuits, chocolates, shopping bags, daily-use items, and various food products, were found hidden in warehouses in Yusuf Goth, 100 Feet Road, Karachi.
The spokesperson confirmed that the total value of the seized goods amounts to millions of rupees. The confiscated items had been handed over to Customs authorities for further legal action. The goods were transported via 12 Mazda trucks.
Rangers have urged the public to assist in the fight against smuggling by reporting such activities. Information can be shared with the nearest Rangers checkpoint, through the Rangers helpline at 1101, or via call/SMS on the Rangers Madadgar WhatsApp number at 0347-9001111. The spokesperson assured that the identity of those providing information would be kept strictly confidential.
