PESHAWAR: Commissioner, Peshawar Division, Riaz Khan Mahsud has approved plans to expand Hayatabad to Phase-8 and Phase-9 after directives from Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
The project, aimed at addressing growing population pressures and urban challenges, would ensure timely compensation to affected individuals and remove all obstacles to expedite development.

Collector PDA Mujahid Khan and other officials, Commissioner Riaz Mahsud was briefed on the urgent need for expansion due to the rising population in Peshawar.
DG PDA informed participants that 1,000 acres of land adjacent to Hayatabad Phase-6 are available for the development of Phases-8 and 9, strategically located at the intersection of Southern Bypass, Ring Road, and Frontier Road, making the site ideal for residential growth.
Riaz Mahsud stressed the importance of developing new housing schemes alongside key infrastructure projects to manage urban congestion and meet housing demands.
He directed a joint task force of PDA, district administration, and Revenue Department officials to ensure the project’s swift implementation, resolve grievances and guarantee timely compensation.
