ISLAMABAD: The Federal Ministry of Housing and Works has written a letter to Pak PWD for a third-party assessment of the Estate Office survey to review the rental ceiling for the federal employees.
It should be remembered that the Estate Office had recommended an increase in the rental ceiling for federal employees residing in six major cities of the country — Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta. The increase was recommended on the basis of a market survey.
The PWD has been directed to inform the ministry of its opinion on the Estate Office survey within three days. The last increase in the rental ceiling for residential accommodation was in 2021.
