PCG seizes 135kg ice, 652kg cannabis in one month: report
The Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) have made significant strides in curbing illegal activities, preventing the smuggling of 823,452 liters of Iranian diesel and seizing substantial quantities of narcotics, including 135 kilograms of methamphetamine (ice) and 652.5 kilograms of cannabis, over the past month.
According to a spokesperson for the PCG, operations were conducted in the areas of Gwadar, Pasni, and Uthal in Balochistan. These operations resulted in the seizure of large quantities of illegal substances, with an estimated international market value of approximately $73.631 million.
The spokesperson emphasised that these actions demonstrate the PCG’s commitment to combating smuggling and protecting the national economy. The Coast Guards’ consistent and effective operations play a crucial role in safeguarding the nation’s economic and legal integrity, the spokesperson added.
