LAHORE:Anti-Vehicle Lifting Staff (AVLS) has come under fire after allegations emerged of its personnel kidnapping and torturing citizens.

A case has been registered against six individuals, including a TSI (Trainee Sub-Inspector) and AVLS officer, Israr, along with two other staff members, Basharat and Waleed, in the North Cantt police station.

According to the FIR, AVLS officials allegedly abducted two brothers, Sabir and Adeel, from near the Cantt Courts. They were reportedly tortured, and videos of the abuse were filmed. The incident is said to be rooted in a property dispute involving T/SI Israr and the victims. The case was filed on the complaint of the victims' father. However, despite the registration of the FIR, the accused officers remain at large. The incident has raised serious concerns about police misconduct and abuse of power, with calls for strict accountability within the department.
