ISLAMABAD: Taking a major decision in the light of federal government’s right-sizing policy, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has abolished several posts in the Bureau.
According to sources, Chairman NAB has approved abolition of 238 posts from Grade-1 to Grade-19. The Chairman gave this approval in exercise of his powers as Principal Accounting Officer.
The posts eliminated include two posts of Additional Director of Grade-19, one of Deputy Director of Grade-18, 58 of Assistant Director of Grade-17 and eight of Deputy Assistant Director of Grade-16.
Three posts of Data Control Supervisor of Grade-16, 23 of Assistant Private Secretary of Grade-16, 12 of Data Control Assistant of Grade-15 and one of Assistant have been scrapped.
Thirty-three posts of Stenotypist of Grade-14, one of Cashier of Grade-14, twelve of UDC of Grade-13 and 15 of Junior Clerk of Grade-11 have been abolished. Eight posts of Clerk, 19 of Driver of Grade-1, one of Duplicate Machine Operator, one of Dispatch Rider, one post of Office Worker, two of Messenger, three of Cash Messenger, 30 posts of Deputy Messenger, two of Orderly and two posts of Sanitary Worker have been eliminated.
