LAHORE: Mozzam Waheed has been appointed as the convener of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Standing Committee on Manufacturers of Gems and Jewellery for the term 2024-25.
The nomination was announced by LCCI President Mian Abuzar Shad, who commended Mozzam Waheed’s dedication and leadership potential in the industry. During a formal ceremony, Vice President Shahid Nazir Chaudhry presented the nomination letter to Mozzam Waheed and congratulated him on his new role. Expressing his confidence in Mozzam’s capabilities, Chaudhry discussed the importance of effective leadership for the sector’s growth.
Known for his steadfast commitment to the gems and jewellery industry, Mozzam Waheed vowed to work diligently to address the challenges faced by the sector and to drive its development. In a key decision to ensure the committee’s smooth functioning, Mozzam appointed Muhammad Ameer Ali as co-convener to assist in operational matters.
The LCCI has also tasked Mozzam and his team with forming a 10-member committee within 30 days. This initiative aims to foster collaboration among manufacturers and ensure the efficient functioning of the group.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Mozzam Waheed reaffirmed his dedication to the betterment of the gems and jewellery sector. He underscored the importance of collective efforts to uplift the industry, enhance innovation and strengthen its presence on the global stage. Under his leadership, the committee will work to resolve critical issues, promote sustainable growth and drive innovation within the sector.
