The court has also summoned the competent officer along with report on next hearing. Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri of the IHC took up the case for hearing Monday. Zartaj Gul had filed a petition in the IHC taking the plea 47 cases were registered against her.
The federation has been made respondent in the petition through interior ministry. FIA, Directorate passport and immigration, home department Punjab and Islamabad police are included in the respondents.
It was further said in the petition that 21 out of 47 cases were registered under terrorism clauses and the name of PTI leaders have been included in the ECL. Zartaj Gul’s name was removed from the ECL but was included again.
The petitioner filed an application for removal of her name from the ECL in connection with performance of Umrah. The petitioner urged the court to issue an order for removal of her name from the ECL so that she could leave for Umrah.
