222 drug traders arrested this month

LAHORE:Lahore Police arrested 222 suspects and confiscated 3,976 litres liquor in ongoing operations this month.
Since the beginning of the year, a total of 66,505 litres liquor was recovered. Authorities registered 3,864 cases across various police stations and sent 3,966 individuals involved in the illegal liquor trade to jail.
Meanwhile, Punjab Police conducted 109,000 raids on drug dealers across the province this year, arresting 63,529 suspects and registering 56,059 cases. Seized contraband included 494,731-kg charas, 6,912-kg heroin, 1,689-kg opium, 455-kg ice, and over 1.1 million litre alcohol. Additionally, 1,283 drug addicts were admitted to rehabilitation centres. In Lahore, 9,624 raids led to 9,935 arrests and 9,623 cases.
