Bank Road, located in the Saddar area of Rawalpindi, has recently been renovated. The relevant authorities have installed tiles and underground wiring. The new Bank Road looks quite nice, for which the concerned authorities need to be commended. However, since the renovation, the road has been closed for all vehicular traffic, causing extreme hardships for everyone. With no suitable, safe and reliable parking in close proximity, shopping on Bank Road has become a nightmare for the people.
It is also pertinent to mention that the newly improved Bank Road is pretty wide. Therefore, vehicles can comfortably be parked on the road shoulders without disrupting the traffic flow. To alleviate the grave inconvenience being faced by the people, the administration needs to review its decision and open Bank Road for vehicular traffic.
