LAHORE: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced Pakistan’s Haris Rauf and England’s Danni Wyatt-Hodge as the ICC Players of the Month for November 2024, recognising their exceptional performances in limited-overs cricket.
Haris Rauf was crowned the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for his extraordinary bowling exploits during Pakistan’s historic ODI series victory in Australia. His lethal pace and accuracy secured 18 wickets across six ODIs and three T20Is, with 13 of those scalps coming in the ODIs at an impressive average of 16.61.
The 31-year-old’s standout performances included a match-winning spell of 5/29, dismantling Australia’s middle order and earning him the Player of the Match title. Haris, supported by Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah, delivered a crucial 2/24 to bowl out the hosts for just 140, setting up a landmark victory for Pakistan.
An eye-catching 4/22 in the second T20I in Sydney further highlighted his form. Haris’s efforts propelled him to a career-best 13th position in the ICC Men’s ODI Bowling Rankings. Reflecting on the accolade, Haris said, “It is an incredible honour to be named ICC Player of the Month. . . . I dedicate this award to everyone who has been part of my journey and look forward to contributing more to Pakistan cricket.”
