Rayyan, Kumail move into second round
KARACHI: Pakistan’s Rayyan Bahadur, M Bin Atif, and Kumail Tariq moved into the second round of their categories at Singapore Junior Squash Open in Singapore on Wednesday.
In the first round of under-15 category, Rayyan Bahadur defeated Yiran Tong from Singapore 11-2, 11-1, 11-2. Now, he is up against Malaysia’s Akkshath Vissnu in the second round. Similarly, M Bin Atif beat Julio Michael Kazim from Macao 12-10, 11-8, 11-2 in the first round. Now, he will face Tsz Long from Hong Kong in the second round.
In the first round of under-17 category, Abdullah Arsalan lost to Malaysia’s Kaveeshan Gnana 6-11, 2-11, 5-11. In the first round of under-19 category, Kumail Tariq overpowered M Rifaa Ramadhan from Indonesia 7-11, 11-7, 15-13, 11-8. Now, he is drawn against Ravipun Limphaiboon from Thailand in the second round.
