The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Monday carried out multiple operations at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, leading to the arrest of three passengers attempting to travel illegally.

According to an FIA spokesperson, one of the arrested individuals, Muzammil, was detained for attempting to travel under the pretext of performing Umrah with a falsified passport. He had altered his place of birth on the passport, claiming Sargodha instead of his actual birthplace, Lodhran, in order to obtain an Umrah visa.

Preliminary investigations revealed that he was actually planning to travel to Saudi Arabia for employment. He had paid Rs350,000 to an agent named Ashar from Bahawalpur, who promised him an Iqama (work permit) upon his arrival in Saudi Arabia.

In a separate operation, two other passengers, Qurban Ali and Tehran, both from Hyderabad, were arrested for attempting to travel to South Africa using counterfeit documents. Their visas were found to be fake after forensic analysis by the Immigration Second Line Office, which revealed that the visas lacked critical security features. The FIA spokesperson confirmed that all three suspects have been transferred to Karachi's Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further investigation and legal action.
