Nine die on road in 24 hours
LAHORE:Around nine people died, whereas 1,566 were injured in 1,473 road accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.
Out of these, 671 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 895 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams. Meanwhile, a passenger van lost control and collided with another vehicle in the Shah Di Khui area, leaving 12 people injured on Monday morning.
Rescue 1122 emergency teams administered first aid to the injured victims before transporting them to Jinnah Hospital. The injured passengers are said to have sustained varying degrees of injuries, but authorities have confirmed that their condition is stable. A full investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
