MANSEHRA: Former district president and provincial assembly contender from Torghar district and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader, Taimurullah Khan, joined the PTI on Monday.
“The PMLN has turned into a political group led by former MNA Captain (retd) Mohammad Safdar, where the voices of workers and office-bearers are suppressed on development and other party issues,” he told a public gathering held in Judbah, the district headquarters of Torghar.
The PMLN’s district general secretary, Zahir Shah, also announced his parting ways with PMLN and joined PTI during the event.The MPA from Torghar Laiq Mohammad Khan, who is the younger brother of jailed PTI leader Azam Khan Swati, also addressed the gathering and welcomed the PMLN dissidents into his party. “The PTI government, particularly local MPA Laiq Mohammad Khan, has executed mega development projects in his previous term and is continuing the same mission in this term,” said Taimurullah.
Speaking on the occasion, the chairman of the District Development Advisory Committee, MPA Laiq Mohammad Khan, said that the construction of the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) was progressing well.
