CHITRAL: Ronald Joe Whitton, an octogenarian experienced hunter of American nationality, hunted down a Kashmir markhor in Tooshi-Shasha Community Managed Game Reserve here on Sunday.

The horn size of the iconic montane goat was 49.5 inches while the animal was 11-year-old which he hunted down on Sunday afternoon.

Divisional forest officer of Wildlife Department Chitral, Farooq Nabi, said that the American hunter had obtained the permit of the trophy at the highest-ever price of $271 out of which 80 percent would go to the local community.
