Islamabad is facing inflation and now shortage of water has become another major issue. We are stuck in the grinder of rising prices. Bore wells were most reliable but are now not providing enough water because they are running dry. Many residents now rely on water tankers to meet their daily needs. The cost of hiring water tankers has also risen, making it unaffordable for middle- and lower-middle class families.
The water shortage issue has caught the attention of most authorities but their response has been too slow. The practice of scheduled water supply has not yet been implemented. If urgent action on the water supply shortage is not taken, it will damage the quality of life of the capital’s residents.
