Academic staff condemns violence at PU
LAHORE : Punjab University Academic Staff Association (PU-ASA) condoling the death of a PU student has condemned the miscreants who tried to damage the reputation of the university by misleading the investigation in the cover of violent protests, resulting in the destruction of property.
In a press release, PU-ASA leadership urged the administration to take stern action against the perpetrators of these heinous acts so that repetition of such incidents in future was avoided.
“We also urge the administration to purge the university from firearms and illegal occupants in the hostel area. The provision of a conducive and peaceful environment must remain the top priority of the administration and all possible preemptive measures need to be taken on a sustainable basis,” reads the press release.
PU-ASA extended its support to the university administration for a peaceful and secured academic environment at campus.
