Two killed, three injured in road accident

HAIRPUR: Two motorcyclists were killed while three others, including a van driver, were injured when a motorcycle collided with a Suzuki van on the main road near Baldhair on Saturday.

The cause of the accident according to police was reckless driving by motorcyclists.

Sera-e- Saleh Police Station officials quoted witnesses as saying that four friends from Havelian were traveling by motorcycle when it collided with the van.

As a result, four persons riding motorcycle and van driver were injured seriously in the accident.

They were shifted to the hospital where two motorcyclists identified as Zakir Ali and Anwar Ali succumbed to head injuries while their two relatives Ismail and Khiyal Muhammad and van driver Faisal Mehmood were shifted to Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad for tertiary care.
