That inflation has reached a 40-month low of 4.9 per cent is indeed a commendable achievement on the part of the government. However, for the majority to truly benefit from this development, it is imperative that the prices of essential items experience a significant decrease. A reduction in prices would not only provide relief to the masses but also serve as a tangible manifestation of the government’s efforts to curb inflation.
It is crucial that the government takes concrete steps to ensure that the benefits of low inflation are passed on to the common man. This can be achieved by implementing policies that promote price stability and encourage competition in the market. Only then can we truly celebrate the government’s achievement and witness a meaningful improvement in the lives of ordinary Pakistanis.
